map The Gibbons Fire Department is currently commemorating 60 years of fire/rescue/medical service to the Town of Gibbons and surrounding area. The department has a roster of 32 members – 6 of which are EMR's. In our hall we have 2 pumpers, one for the County and one for the Town. We also have our Emergency Response Unit (ERU) which is our command post as well as carries our rescue tools. It also serves and is equipped to handle medical emergencies.
The Gibbons Fire Department has enjoyed competing in the last 7 competitions. We use this competition as a training tool for some of our newer members, as once again we have 3 or 4 first or second year firefighters on our team. We look forward to the fellowship and the competition each year, and would like to wish all competing teams the best of luck during the competition. We also like to thank Whitecourt for their hospitality. Enjoy the weekend.!!
