no stranger to the extrication competition forum. In 1991 they attended their first

finished first in the Western Canadians in Lloydminster AB, and went on to represent
Western Canada at the international competition in Cortland NY. In 1993 they attended the
Western Canadians in Abbotsford BC, and the international competition in Louisville
Kentucky. The Fox Creek Vol. Fire/Rescue started what is known today as the Northern
Alberta Competition in 1993. In 1994 the department placed second in the Northern Alberta
competition in Stony Plain AB, and went on to compete in the Western Canadians in
Vancouver BC, the same year. In 1995 Fox Creek placed first in the Northern Alberta
competition in Nisku AB, and went on to compete in the Western Canadian' in Calgary
AB. In 1996, the department competed in the Northern Alberta competition in Mayerthorpe

to some last minute team cancellations, Fox Creek entered a team and entered first. Later
that year the team competed in the international competition in Gainesville Florida. In
1997 Fox creek placed first in the Northern Alberta competition in High Level AB, and went
on to finish first in the Western Canadians in Vancouver BC, as well as second place
finish in the unlimited pit at the International competition being held at the same time
in Vancouver BC. In 1998 Fox Creek placed first in the Northern Alberta competition held
in Cold Lake AB. The department then placed second at the Western Canadians which
were held in Yellowknife NWT.
Fox Creek is a small thriving community 260 kms north of
Edmonton along the infamous highway #43. Which is known as moose row. The department
responds to approximately 40 major MVA's a year, and covers approximately 120 km of
highway #43 and surrounding area.
