Associated Ambulance, Whitecourt Division, provides advanced life support emergency ground and air ambulance service to the Town of Whitecourt and surrounding areas within Woodlands County.
The Ambulance currently responds to 50 medical emergency calls per month and is staffed with two Paramedic and two Emergency Medical Technicians full time, with support from six part time Emergency Medical Technicians and seven Emergency Medical Responders, two of which are presently updating to
EMT "A: Level.
Ambulance attendants in Whitecourt enjoy a close-knit working relationship with all other emergency services in the area. The bulk of ambulance staff also fill roles as volunteer firefighters. The Ambulance responds to all in-Town calls and will respond to all structural fires in the Woodlands County.
The EMT firefighters share their expertise with the volunteer firefighters through training in SPR, First Aid, River Rescue and extraction techniques in return for the vast knowledge given to them from all other sources in our fire department.
Associated Ambulance and staff feel that the enhanced training of all our community minded fire and ambulance volunteers makes our town of Whitecourt a safer and more enjoyable place to live.
